Request a SecureGuard Community license

SecureGuard is a node-locked appliance license. Request an activation code; after you install, you turn that code and the appliance's node ID into a key. The license catalog issues the code — it is the issuer, not the product.

How activation works

You get an activation code. Emailed as soon as you submit this form — usually within a minute or two.
You install the appliance. It generates a node ID on first boot and shows it during setup and on the licensing screen of the console.
You activate. Give the code and that node ID to the activation page and you receive the license key for that box.

This is why step 1 sends a code rather than a key: the key has the node ID signed into it, so it cannot exist until the appliance does.

What you need to run it

A 64-bit machine or VM with at least two network interfaces and a disk you are willing to erase — the image is ZFS-on-root and takes the whole disk. Install guide
