Ask SecureGuard a question. Answers come from this site's docs only. I will cite a page. I will not invent a product claim.
Turn your code into a license key
Every SecureGuard license is locked to the appliance it runs on: the node ID is signed into the key, and the appliance verifies it offline against an embedded vendor key. So we issue the key once you can tell us which box it is for.
Where to find your node ID
The appliance generates it on first boot and keeps it on a dataset that survives OS upgrades, so it is stable for the life of the install. It is shown during setup and on System ▸ License in the console. It looks like a UUID.
Activating a second appliance uses another seat on the same code — the ID is unique per install, not per license.
What the key unlocks
The tier in the license determines scale and features. Paste the key into System ▸ License and the entitlements apply immediately — no reboot, no commit. How entitlements are derived →
Something not right?
No code yet? Get a free license. Lost it? Your codes are listed in your account, and you can also use the activation page directly. Still stuck: support@secure-guard.io.
Re-submitting the same code and node ID is safe. It returns the existing key and does not consume another seat.
